The Latest RDS Real Estate Development, The Barn, Offers Endless Possibilities
FORT WORTH, TX, October 18, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ — Twice Mother Nature tossed a tornado at The Barn, the newest commercial endeavor by Ron Sturgeon, owner of RDS Real Estate, and twice The Barn shook it off and stood tall.
On more than one occasion, Sturgeon entertained offers to raze The Barn, but something inside him told him to leave The Barn standing, that great things were in her future.
“That’s how I think of The Barn,” Sturgeon recently told us. “She’s a tough-minded woman who refuses to fall, and by golly I respect that.”
No surprise there, as Sturgeon has risen from the ashes himself, Tarrant County’s own Horatio Algier, once homeless and now the owner of over one-million square feet of small, multi-use commercial properties. Sturgeon, recently featured on CNBC’s Blue-Collar Millionaires, is somewhat of a champion of the discarded and forgotten, having gotten his start in the auto salvage business.
“One man’s junk is another man’s treasure,” Sturgeon is fond of saying. “Some people saw The Barn as just a thing of the past, a place where once horses were bred but now a place where a new, shiny industrial park could rise. I didn’t see it that way. I love the charm and history of this place, and I aim to give her free rein and let her gallop.”
The Barn is seen as the perfect all-purpose commercial property. Sturgeon can see it as a yoga studio, martial arts dojo, or any other fitness-related business. He can see it, he says, as a great place to shoot scenes for a movie, or the perfect venue for a wedding or a corporation get-together.
“There aren’t that many truly unique Fort Worth commercial properties,” said Jim Eaton, RDS Leasing Manager. “We plan on The Barn being anything she wants to be, the perfect solution for a number of different occasions. We call her commercial property for rent with an attitude!”
And that kind of vision is nothing new for Sturgeon. His latest development project is called Box Office Warehouse Suites, the first and only business park in the Alliance commercial real estate area made entirely from shipping containers.
“One man’s junk is another man’s treasure” indeed!
