Fort Worth Design District’s Visitors and Alliance Residents Will Soon Have a Dog Park in a Neighborhood Filled with Art Murals and Structures
Fast Developing Neighborhood South of Alliance Announces Dog Park Construction

August 9, 2018—Fort Worth, TX—As one of the fastest growing counties in the nation, one might find themselves asking, what is Tarrant County missing? One thing it is not missing is opportunity, that’s for sure! Tucked away in what once was the outskirts of the Alliance area of North Fort Worth is a fast-developing district known as the Fort Worth Design District. This design district seemed to have it all: art, festivals, a friendly neighborhood center, commercial real estate, three different types of office space for lease… but yet, the developers wanted more. This “more” was exactly what an area like this needed, a dog park.

Area residents and visitors have been able to see this area develop fast, from breaking ground to adding three new business centers: Box Office Warehouse Suites, Golden Triangle Business Park and Paddock Place Office Suites. Each unique and with different available commercial space for lease, the value they have each added to the community is immense. This district is known for being dog-friendly. Event profits from the Graffiti and Street Art Festival that took place in March were even donated to a local animal shelter. It was only natural for a dog park to be added to this community.

In a matter of time, talk of a dog park being added made neighbors and area guests curious about the construction. While it is still in the works, local developer and entrepreneur Ron Sturgeon had a couple of spoilers to announce. “Golden Triangle Dog Park will be a free place for dog lovers to bring their pets to play. There will be two sections for this dog park: for small dogs and for larger breeds. We want everyone to feel welcomed here and have added tons of cool stuff that I strongly feel pets will really enjoy. I’m a dog owner myself and I can’t wait to bring my dogs out.”

From what is known, the park features benches, play areas, water fountains and more. Add to that the scenery, murals painted by artists from all over the country and art installations as unique as the neighborhood centers that make up the Fort Worth Design District and you have a recipe for success. “Snap and Share” a picture of yourself, your pets or both in one of the many murals that make up the ‘Snap and Share Art Walk’ and the memories are priceless.

This dog park is expected to open its doors before winter 2018, once the temperatures cool down for pets to safely enjoy this play place. Three Dog Bakery and Linda Allen State Farm will be sponsoring the Golden Triangle Dog Park’s grand opening and will have special goodies to give pets and pet owners. Many have speculated on this design district and what it would do for the community, but one thing is true, it is adding so much value to an area that did not have significant traffic or places to shop/work.
