A notarized legal eviction must be filed in the county and precinct where the property is located. There are basically four steps in the Texas Eviction process: The notice to vacate, Filing the Suit, Going to Court, and Writ of Possession. Steps must be followed in that order. From start to finish the process will take approximately 3 weeks. There is a process that can shorten the time period to ten days, but you must prevail in Court. It’s called a Bond for Immediate Possession, which includes a Notice to Defendant of the Bond for Immediate Possession. This could shorten the eviction process if the defendant does not request a trial or post a counter bond.
